First Egg of the Season

My girls usually only lay March - September. They are Americanas and I live in a mild climate. Is such a long break unusual? This year they started early. The first one I thought was a fluke, but they’ve kept it up for a week.

BTW, the green tint of the photo is because of the green corrugated roof on the coop.
