Working out how many financial years a date range falls into
I have a very simple spreadsheet. Let's say Column A has the start date of when a project started, and Column B is an end date. I want to work out how many financial years those dates cover. Something like below. Struggling to work out the maths behind it on this one.
A financial year is the 1st of April to 31st of March. The dates below are in DD/MM/YYYY
| A | B | C |
|---|---|---|
| 01/05/2024 | 01/06/2026 | 2 |
| 05/02/2024 | 06/05/2025 | 3 |
| 05/06/2024 | 05/07/2024 | 1 |
