Trying to create a top 20 list

I'm playing madden and let's say I have one excel table that goes like this

Player / year / opponent / yards

What I want to do is create a top 20 list from this table, without using a pivot table, that shows the best SEASON by player

So let's say Barry sanders had 1,854 in 2025 and David weeks had 1,831 yards in 2021 and so on down the list

I want this second table to show

Barry sanders. 2025. 1854 (in 3

Different columns)

But I need to have it add up each individual game by player by year

So on my sheet Barry sanders would have 17 lines on the rb yards table that look like-

Barry sanders. 2025. Saints. 117

Can I run a pivot table on one sheet and then create a table on a second sheet and have cell A1 equals to the first cell in the pivot table? And then a2 would equal the second cell in that table and make it so if the pivot table changes it still pulls just the top 20 entries on the pivot table

I know this is a mess. Just trying to figure out the best way to go at this.
