Match function returning dollar amount instead of yes or N/A

I'm doing a spreadsheet for my boss for the first time. I can't use any other function. I just need to see if there have been any new accounts added since last month. When I try to use Match, I just get a dollar amount returned instead of N/A or true. Unfortunately my boss is unavailable until next week.
