Can I create separate tabs and compile tabs into one tab?

Hi, I’m wanting to create a book tracker on Excel. I’m not well versed in Excel anymore.

Can I create tabs for separate authors and a tab with all authors compiled and have the tabs in the same file?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. It’s just been a really long time since I have used Excel.
