Nice black dresses for a funeral service?

I went to a funeral last week and wore a dress I had bought a few years ago. It didn't quite fit anymore, but I didn't have anything else to wear. I would like to buy a simple, but nice black dress to be my "funeral dress". I was looking at these two dresses, but I thought they might be too casual looking. Do you think these dresses are appropriate for a funeral? Do you have any other dress suggestions?
