What could I clean my camera lens with if I don't own dedicated cleaner?

I just loaned out a camera from my school for the weekend and noticed the lens had some fingerprints on it. I was thinking about cleaning it with some glasses lens cleaner but some people say it can be harmful to it. Would love some input on what I could use, thanks
