Holiday in Mauritius on August 2026

Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I booked a 10-day vacation in Mauritius in August. It's our first time there. We booked flights and hotels for now, and the hotel offers free cancellation. The hotel was booked on the west side of the island, but we read that during certain times of the year, it's better to stay in an eastern location.

Do you have any advice that might help me, including booking a car, which I discovered has a right-hand drive.
