How to make face framing pieces not look terrible

Hello, I have relaxed hair so it’s kind of hard for my hair to be completely flat, how do I get my face framing pieces to actually look good??? Any advice helpful!!!! I’ve had them forever but they always look bad :( (these photos I used my straightener on them)
