Oysho quality gone downhill? (Single-use clothes)

Oysho quality gone downhill? (Single-use clothes)

I wanted to share a recent experience in case anyone is considering buying from Oysho.

I picked up a black/white outfit (around €80/97 USD total), and honestly — it looked great in-store. Nice fit, clean design, exactly the kind of “minimal chic” pieces they’re known for.

But after just two short wears, the quality dropped off fast. The items already look noticeably worn, with visible signs of fabric deterioration. This is not heavy use — just normal, casual wear.

What’s surprising is that I still own Oysho pieces from 5 years ago that are in great condition — no issues at all. So something clearly changed, and the drop in quality (especially over the last year or so) is very noticeable.

At this point, it genuinely feels like single-use clothing dressed up as premium athleisure.

I did try to return the items; the process wasn’t great and I got refusal from store due to “improper use”, but that’s not even the main issue here. The bigger problem is the gap between appearance/price and actual durability.

I’d be cautious about buying — especially if you expect clothes to last more than a couple of wears.
