How to deal with subjects that are... not too photogenic?
I recently did the photography for an inlaws wedding. Went quite well, but when I get to the editing room I realise there are quite a lot of frankly unflattering photos.
For instance, I feel like I pretty much cannot use any photos of the bride smiling. The groom looks wet & shiny from sweat and tears.
I don't want to badmouth them but really not sure what I can do with toothless smiles.
I was the only photographer, so what I have is all there is.
I just don't know how to deal with this. Do I give them photos I think are bad? There were nasty comments at the wedding about appearances and I don't want to feed into that. I want them to have the best photos I can provide.
Thanks
