Where is the best area to stay in Paris for a first-time visit?

Planning a trip to Paris and trying to figure out where to stay.

I’ve seen recommendations for areas like the Latin Quarter, Le Marais, and near the Eiffel Tower, but I’m not sure what’s actually best for a first visit.

Looking for something safe, walkable, and close to major attractions.
