Canadian Rockies vs Patagonia - how would you compare two, as a hiking-focus trip?
Has anyone been to Canadian Rockies (Kananaski, Banff, Jasper) and Patagonia (Torres del Paine, El Chaltén, El Calafate) at the same time?
Really hiking trips (6 to 9 hours a day). Not just driving to the checkpoint, take pictures, and go back to the car.
I have been to Rockies several times, went to many trails (long and short ones), went in different season. Every time I go, I was amazed by the scenery. I never get tired by the views and experience.
I'm planning my South America trip and doing research on different places. It may sound stupid. But when I watch different Patagonia travel vlogs, it doesn't hit me. Maybe my feeling is affected by the expense of rental carand accomodation in the area, the road system is not as well developed as North America national parks (correct me if I'm wrong). The only spot I would really love to go is Perito Moreno Glacier.
Anyone who have been to both locations can share your experience and viewpoints? Thanks in advance!
