Is this dress appropriate for college graduation ?

I went to try on dresses for graduation and most of then didn’t fit me so started looking at other prom style dresses. I try one on and I was speechless, I love it so much and I looked really nice in it. I decided to buy it, however now I’m having second thoughts. I don’t know if it’s appropriate for graduation here in the USA, I was born and raised in the Caribbean and there we go all out for graduation. I can’t return the dress as the sale was final. The dress has a small train as in not that tall. Could I get some advice please.
