Is Vietnam really that cheap?

I’ve been here recently and overall it does feel cheap, but I noticed some things vary a lot.

Food and coffee are cheap almost everywhere, but accommodation seems to depend heavily on the area.

Still trying to figure out what’s considered a normal budget.
