Getting to Bali through AUH/DOH or budget airline through SIN?
So I'm looking at somewhat last minute flights for our honeymoon to SE Asia. It seems like our most reasonably priced options flying out of Europe are either going really cheap through Singapore with a budget airline called Scoot, or going for a somewhat more expensive but still affordable option through Qatar Airlines/Emirates through Doha/Abu Dhabi.
There's a ceasefire going on with Iran right now but I don't really have faith on that being the end of the story, and it seems risky to book a flight connecting through the Middle East. On the other hand, I've seen some Redditors describe doing a long-haul 10+ hour flight with Scoot as "death", even if they say that the airline itself is reliable and safe.
What do you think?
Edit: While this thread still has traction, what are people's thoughts on Google Flights/Capital One Travel advising to wait before booking? Seems like today's a good day to book the flight to Bali, but our return flight Tokyo-San Jose seems to be crazy expensive right now (1500 one way) and Cap One Travel is advising we wait before booking...
