Re-checking a bag in SEA Airport?

Hello! I am planning to fly from Vancouver (YVR) to Seattle (SEA) with an hour and a half layover and then flying to Honolulu (HNL). I will need to re-check a bag in that time. Is that enough time to get the back and re-check it? Do you have to go through security again to re-check the bag? I’ve never done this and want to make sure I will have enough time. Thanks!
