Different band on this har

I found this hat in my closet while doing some cleaning and want to style it for my friend as a surprise gift. She likes the sage green but I dont know if that would look right on here as a ribbon. Am I crazy or should I find a similar color to band it with instead? Im dead set on some kind of green accent
