looking for caribbean or central american island or town that uses golf carts as main transportation or is very walkable

Looking for some ideas for islands or places that:

- Mainly use golf cart to get around or walkable
- Nice beaches with good access
- Good restaurants, local food options
- Not a bunch of resorts or resort/chain food around
- Caribbean or central america preferred but open

Have seen Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, & Samara recommended.
