Mascara makes me look worse??

So lately ive been using this brown mascara since i dont put so much makeup and im more into clean natural look, i started noticing how my face looks different in a bad way and my eyes look dull and tired it even makes my dark circles pop out

I tried not using it today and i looked much better!!

I am not sure if it is because of the mascara or the way i am applying it

Any tips?
