i have a great idea for owners of noisy chickens

i live in the suburbs with three neighbors around me. i feel bad because my hens are SO loud in the morning before their automatic door opens. my solution? i purchased an automatic cat feeder. i put chicken scratch in the feeder and have it drop a little bit every 15 mins (7-8am) until their door opens. now my hens are quiet and my neighbors are happy. i use a 5 gallon hopper to keep it full.
