Can't make this work

Hello,

I've recently picked up this as a hobby when I go for a walks, but I can't seem to get any good picture. I don't understand when I can see a good story, colour, pattern or anything. Feels like I'm missing something. None of my pictures look good or interesting at all. Everything I see around seems boring and not noteworthy.

Any ideas how to get better at this?
