Which city from the trip did you never expect to be your favorite?

For me, it was Siena in Tuscany.

I thought I’d prefer Florence, but Siena totally surprised me and ended up being my favorite city from the trip. I only planned for 2 days there. My main goal was to see the city and to rent a car the next day to visit Pienza.

The second I arrived, I just got this special feeling. It has such a calm, grounded atmosphere that I wasn't expecting at all. I didn't think I'd feel such an instant connection the moment I got there.

Anyone else have a city like this that you thought whould be just another tourist spot, but ended up falling in love with?
