Ireland Visa London Office
Hi!
I am an international student in the United Kingdom with an Indian passport. I applied for a tourist short stay visa to Ireland on 13/04/2026, and the status has remained unchanged since then.
I have travel planned soon, and need my passport for it. Has anyone applied for an Ireland visa at the London Embassy recently and how long did it take you to get your passport back?
I read that April is not really peak period, but I have not heard a single thing from them and I’m getting a bit worried.
The other option would be to withdraw my application and get my passport back, but I’m wondering if that can be done without prejudice or if it’ll have implications for future visa applications.
This upcoming travel I have planned is really important so I do need my passport back. But I wonder how long I should wait before giving up. My documentation is extensive and super detailed and I worked hard on the application so it would be a real bummer.
Has anyone applied for Ireland visa at the London Embassy recently and how long did it take you to get your passport back?
If you did withdraw your application at the London office, how long did it take for them to return your passport?
I’ve been emailing them and only received automated responses. Has anyone heard anything about visas if they applied in April?
Would be grateful for any and all advice!
Thanks.
