How safe is this Greyhound route? Paducah → St. Louis → Kansas City → Oklahoma City

I was wondering how safe this route is overall, especially around the Greyhound stations and during the layovers/transfers. I’m not trying to be paranoid, just want to know what to expect and how cautious I should be.

Main things I’m wondering:

- Are the St. Louis or Kansas City Greyhound stations sketchy at night?

- Is it better to stay inside the station during layovers?

- Any tips for keeping bags, wallet, phone, etc. safe?

- Anything specific I should watch out for on this route?

I’ve never traveled before, I have a duffel bag and a shoulder sling bag. I'm trying to get too stillwater too see someone.
