Passport Photo Taken

Hello guys abroad at the moment and a tour guide which seemed pretty legit tbh turned out to be a scam we didn't pay any money and they did not show up and we already sent photos of our passports (EXTREMELY STUPID IK) we are planning on going to the embassy to go and replace it but could it be an overreaction need some advise:(
