Soooo what’s going on here?

| I bought the L’ORÉAL Magic Skin Beautifier BB cream in anti redness, because, well.. I have mild redness from acne along my chin and around the corners of my nose. I have never used this product or any BB/CC cream before so when a very kind stranger, who probably could smell the confusion coming off of me, asked if I needed help I explained what I was looking for and any suggestions for what they recommend. This was the product they suggested. I got home to try it out and squeezing it out of the tube, the expected green cream came out, but I’m so confused as to how that somehow turned to THIS… I went to ULTA’s website and typed in the product name and the only product that came up for me was for the shade “deep”. I then went to check Amazon and the anti-redness( which is the one I bought) along with options for light, deep, medium. And also an anti-fatigue version.(so 5 options in all). My question is, should I go back and buy the light shade(I know the lighting is very blah, but my skin tone is fairly pale). Will that do the same thing to help diffuse the redness I’m trying to cover? Or did I just get a bad batch? Are there other products that would help reduce redness that don’t feel like a heavy foundation and sit more like a moisturizer? Any advice is welcome!! Also to explain the pics… one is the product after I ribbed it in and the orange shade started popping up. The green streak is the product after squeezing it out of the tube before rubbing. The other photo is the same orange spot but I dabbed the green streak instead of full on rubbing and the orange didn’t seem to come through, though it’s still too dark for my skin.
