Is it normal for my eyes to burn while I get my lash extensions done ?

I apologize if I’m not posting this at the right place.

Basically I got lash extensions for the first time a few months ago. I noticed when getting them done that my right eye was burning during the appointment (not painful to the point where I had to ask my tech to stop, but still uncomfortable) and then my eye was quite red after for a few hours. Since then, I’ve gone for refills about three times and my eyes burn every single time (both eyes now not just the right one). Last week it got to the point where I almost had to ask my tech to stop because i couldn’t endure it. I’m sure some of this is due to the fumes from the glue, which I’m guessing is normal to some extent ?

I guess what I’m asking is if this happens to other people ? Because I’ve always heard women say that getting their lashes done is so relaxing and they even take naps, but this really isn’t relaxing for me as it hurts.

Idk if these things are relevant to mention, but in case anyone asks:
1. I’ve had the same technician since the beginning
2. I get the normal “classic” lashes (not the big bulky ones)
3. My eyes are usually red for a few hours to a day after the appointment but they’re not swollen or painful
4. The pain I feel is only during the application/refills
5. I keep my eyes closed during the appointment

So, is this normal? do I just have sensitive eyes ?
