Bali vs Azores 1-2 week trip

I'm a first time solo traveler (F24) and have 1-2 weeks to use for a solo trip (1-2 weeks if azores, 2 weeks if Bali). I'm coming from the UK. I'm ideally looking for somewhere safe, peaceful with warmth and slow way of living just to relax and reset. I went to santa teresa costa rica with a friend a couple years ago and would love to replicate a similar vibe, but I also love hiking and trails and the sea and would like a tropical feel. I'm torn between Bali and Azores.

Pro Bali:

- warm weather guaranteed

- tropical vibe nice beaches

- easy to travel around no need for a car

- nice spirituality and wellness element

- could make friends in hostels?

Cons Bali:

- far away and this is my first solo trip so a bit worried i won't be safe?

- worried about the fuel strikes at the moment

- expensive flights

Pro Azores:

- closer to home so safer for first solo trip?

- cheaper flights

- gorgeous scenery and nice hikes

- I'm half Portuguese so familiar with language and have always wanted to visit

- maybe quieter? less touristy?

Cons Azores

- potential rain/colder weather

- would need a car and worried about driving on the right hand side

Based on my pros and cons what would people recommend? Or is there a sweet spot between the two? Am i missing anything that would help me decide a little easier?
