Is shampoo and conditioner actually enough for healthy hair?

| I’ve been realizing I honestly have no idea if I’m taking care of my hair properly. My routine is pretty basic just shampoo and conditioner but I’m starting to wonder if that’s actually enough, especially as I’m noticing some changes. Lately I’ve been dealing with things like more shedding in the shower, some thinning around my hairline, occasional scalp itchiness/oiliness, and my hair feels drier and more fragile than it used to. I’m not sure if it’s stress, age, hormones, travel, hard water, or if I’m just not using the right products. My hairstyle is somewhat like a wolfcut/layers so I didn’t notice that much until I look at it closely 😩 Do most people actually do more than shampoo and conditioner? Like scalp treatments, hair masks, oils, leave-ins, supplements, etc? Or is keeping it simple better? Would love to hear what actually made a difference for you especially if you’ve dealt with thinning, breakage, oily scalp, dandruff, or hair that suddenly changed texture.🥹🙏 Help your girlie out!
