Self tan that doesn't stick to acne marks/pores

I've only self tanned a few times in the past but I always found that I ended up with tons of "blackhead" looking marks on my chest/back from the self tan sticking in my pores or something? I'd love to be able to self tan again but I'm scared to buy something that isn't going to end up looking good. I've tried gradual tans and they seem to work better but don't really give me the result I want fast enough. I'm quite fair skinned and don't necessarily want a deep tan but just a kind of sun kissed glow, something that feels natural like I just got back from a vacation in Hawaii but without the sun poisoning and premature aging. I take my skin health very seriously but I am prone to acne on my chest and back so I have some marks and dark spots in those areas as well. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
