Looking for summer trip ideas- New England Area

Looking for new location ideas where we can relax, do some easy kayaking/ hiking, enjoy good local food, pretty sights and maybe a beach or lake with plenty of options to keep a 4 year old busy. Far drives okay within a flexible 10 hrs from MA. All family members have passports so Canada is an option.

Two adults, one is 6 months pregnant and a 4 year old. Dog in tow.
