Showcase: QR code generator in Excel without macros, fonts, add-ins or internet access

About 10 years ago I made this Code 128B barcode generator in Excel, without add-ins/fonts/macros:

Since then I always wanted to make a QR code version in the same style. But QR codes are quite a bit more annoying than barcodes, and my brain was too small.

Sadly I did need some AI help this time. Not sure where the community stands on AI (I have mixed feelings), but I couldn't have done it otherwise.

Anyway, it now works in Excel with:

  • no macros
  • no add-ins
  • no fonts
  • no internet needed

Currently supports ASCII, punctuation, numbers, and these characters:

é è ë ê
á à ä â
ó ò ö ô
ú ù ü û
í ì ï î
ñ ç ß €

I thought some people here might appreciate it. Especially if you work somewhere locked down where you can’t install or download anything. Once again, feel welcome to download/use as you please. I am not married to the files.
