Japan eVisa expiring before new travel date - can I extend or reapply?
Hi everyone,
I currently have a valid Japan eVisa that was originally approved for my July trip. However, I changed my travel plans and now I will travel in August instead. The problem is that my current eVisa expires in July before my new trip date.
I tried to submit a new eVisa application online, but the system would not let me create a new application because I already have a valid visa linked to my account.
Has anyone experienced this before?
I’m wondering:
- Is there any way to extend the current eVisa validity to August?
- Do I need to contact or visit my local Japanese consulate/embassy to request a new application?
- Or do I have to wait until my current visa expires before I can apply again online?
I’d really appreciate any advice or similar experiences. Thanks!
