Central America 1 month in August from UK

Hey everyone 👋

I’m planning a solo trip to Central America this August for around a month. My plan is to start in Panama and work my way up through a few countries, finishing in Mexico (just flying out from there, not staying).

I’ve got a couple of questions I’d really appreciate some help with:

Firstly, what’s the weather actually like during August in most of the region? I’ve heard it’s the rainy season, but I’m not sure how intense it really is. I don’t mind rain in the evenings or at night, but I’d ideally like to spend my days exploring, visiting places, and maybe getting some beach time in.

Secondly, I was also considering starting the trip in Venezuela instead of Panama. If anyone has experience, how safe is it to travel there at the moment?

I’ve travelled around South America before and absolutely loved it honestly one of my favourite parts of the world. I’d actually love to go back, but I want to give Central America a proper chance this time 😜
