Going for a month to Huehuetenango Guatemala

I am planning a trip in November to go to Huehuetenango. I will be taking a ride from Guatemala city to Huehuetenango. I have a Airbnb set up for when I am there. But I am wondering if there are any safety issues in the City of Huehuetenango when I am there. Also if there is anything that I should really do when I am there. Anything advice helps! Thanks!
