Ticket advice: Aalborg to Aarhus return + local buses — cheapest option

Hi everyone,

I need to travel from Aalborg St. to Aarhus H and return to Aalborg on the same day. I also need to use local buses in Aalborg and Aarhus.

Could you please advise me on the cheapest and most suitable ticket option for this trip?

Is there any one-day ticket that covers both the outbound and return train journeys, as well as local buses? Or do I need to buy separate DSB train tickets plus local bus tickets?

I saw Midttrafik day tickets, but I’m not sure whether they are valid on DSB trains between Aalborg and Aarhus.
