I lost my favorite girl today.

Her name was Penny. She was the sweetest chicken I've ever seen. She loved jumping on my shoulder and following me around. I taught her that there were bugs under rocks, and she made the cutest happiest sounds when I would lift them up and there be bugs underneath. I would say "Hi Penny my love." to her and I swear she would turn her fluffy head to the side just to look at me. She would even purr when sitting on my lap. She taught me that it was okay to love chickens and I'm so thankful to have met her in this life.

Today she wasn't moving in the run when we went to let them out. No signs of any sickness or anything... Just gone. I'm so sad I haven't even let my emotions run the course. This subreddit has been a blessing because of how wonderful you all are to posts asking for help or encouragement. I just wanted you guys to know about her and how wonderful she was.
