Is it better to invest in a professional spray tan or products?

Hi all. I’ve never had a spray tan but my mum has before and it leaves a lovely healthy glow, not too orange. I’ve used St Tropez in the past but didn’t find the results brilliant. I’m a bit broke at the moment so wondered what would be the better investment/if there are good and affordable tanning products out there!
