Tractor Supply Tip

I found out a couple years ago that when the chicks get too big, they go into the back room...and the price goes to $1. $1 for chicks that are at least a couple weeks old! It's a great bargain. They're not as delicate, will be laying sooner, and much cheaper. These aren't advertised, but if their chicks aren't selling out fast? Ask if they have any chicks for $1 or $2. The big ones in the front were $2 and the couple dozen in the back room were $1. They're glad to get them out of the store now that they're past the cute stage and into the annoying escape artist stage! No idea if other stores do this but you can get great deals at the local TSCs here.
