i just want to rant about how much i love my chick baby…

i feel ridiculously maternal to this little thing. i’m a first time owner and the sheer joy i got from candling those little eggs and seeing tiny living beings was just phenomenal… and now i have four week old babies that i successfully fussed over and not a single one got sick/died or had any problems! they’ve been so well behaved and sweet. i have this one chicken i am firmly attached too. they follow me everywhere, optionally flap into my lap, and love to climb on my arms, hands and shoulders. i’m never alone with a chick nearby!! such a wonderful pet to have, i didn’t know chickens were so affectionate with so much personality!!
