How important is plain background for digitals

Hi everyone

I dont have anywhere at home where I can take digitals that has a plain background , the best I can get is a cream wall but with wall hooks and doors in the background. I also don't have space outside where I can take against a brick wall

Is the plain background crucial for digitals as long as they can clearly see my figure does it matter if the background is cluttered/does not look good?
