How do I go about joining a travel group?

I saw a post on here from a few years ago talking about post travel depression...I'm going home today, in a few hours and have been fighting the urge to cry. Their post mentioned a travel group with strangers and I was curious about it. Does anyone know how book one of those?? I'm new to solo traveling so my apologies if the question is dumb.
