Day trip to Hvar from Korcula?

Hey everyone!

My friend and I will be travelling in Croatia in September and we wanted to get some opinions on our itinerary for the time we will spend in Korcula and Hvar.

We will be staying in Korcula for three nights. We plan on spending one day exploring the old town in Korcula and then doing a beach day. On our last day, we were considering taking a ferry to Hvar for a day trip. Is a day trip worth it or should we just stay in Korcula? Are there any other day trip options that are more worthwhile?
