Beachwood The Label / Beachwood Baby Review!

About me: 5’8” | 180lbs | Athletic build | Mid 40s | 38B | Shirt: M/L | Pants: 8-12 depending on brand

I love linen and as I age I’m always looking for effortless, beach vibes. I kept getting served Beachwood The Label ads and finally caved when they ran a Mother’s Day promo.

I noticed there are hardly any reviews out there for this brand, which gave me pause before ordering. I ordered several pieces and here’s my honest breakdown.

My initial sense is that this is for very slim builds, not curves. The linen is thin and I think it’s a bit overpriced. There are a couple pieces I might keep because of the uniqueness, but overall I don’t see the value.

Hopefully this helps anyone else who was on the fence!

From their website: Beachwood is a women-owned business run by two sisters, Ljuba and Zoe, who grew up in Mallorca, Spain. The brand draws its inspiration from the neutral colors and laid-back elegance of the Mediterranean lifestyle. They’re based out of both Southern California and Mallorca, and all their linen clothing is manufactured in Italy. For every order placed, Beachwood plants a tree in the Amazon Rainforest.

  1. The Lola Dress
    Colors tried: Pomegranate, Rye
    Size: M/L
    Price: $198

Overall, so cute. The ruching on top means you can probably skip a bra. The back has some stretch, but if you have hips, broad shoulders, or a larger bust, this will likely be a no-go. I have broad shoulders but a smaller bust and was barely able to get it over my head — if either were any bigger, it would’ve been impossible.

Leaning toward keeping, but the dress needs something to hold it up. There are small sticky strips included, but they won’t cut it…I’ll be pulling this up all day.

Bust (unstretched): 14” across

  1. Isla Pants
    Colors tried: Rye, Taupe
    Size: M/L
    Price: $158

The website listed an extended size range of 25–44” hip, so I went for it (S/M would’ve had zero chance). These are a cute wide-leg (but not too wide) drawstring style and the length was good on me.

Downsides: The area around the fly twisted oddly and I could never get it to sit straight, the crotch was always just slightly crooked. Also a bit tight in the hips and definitely see-through.

Rise: 13”
Inseam: ~28”
Waist: 15” (unstretched)
Hips: 18.5”
Thigh: 10.75”

  1. Rio Pants
    Colors tried: Fern
    Sizes: S and M
    Price: $168

The color is stunning, honestly the main reason I want to keep these. Size-wise they fit well all around.

Downsides: Slightly see-through, and these are most definitely maternity-style pants with a belly band. My concern is that the elastic will stretch out over time and without a waistband to anchor them, they’ll start to sag.

I’m still on the fence due to quality, but I LOVE the color.

Rise: 13”
Inseam: ~28”
Waist: 12.5” (unstretched)
Hips: 20”
Thigh: crap, forgot

  1. The Palma Shirt
    Colors tried: Moon, Taupe, Fern
    Size: OS
    Price: $168

Wonderfully comfortable and cute — this is the standout piece for me. A few things to note: it’s a drop shoulder with fairly short sleeves, so I’d recommend rolling the sleeves up since they hit at an awkward length as-is. On a smaller or thinner frame it could feel a bit too oversized.

What I love: the length and width are perfect for tying at the waist, which looks really cute, and it’s got the right dimensions for a French tuck too. I’m genuinely struggling to choose a color. This would be a summer staple. Highly recommend.

Length: front 30”
Length: back 33”
Arm length: 16” (from drop shoulder though)

TL;DR: Cute, loose linen pieces with a beachy vibe. The Palma Shirt is the clear winner — versatile, comfortable, and great proportions. The Rio Pants are beautiful but basically maternity pants. The Isla Pants have a crooked fly issue and are see-through. The Lola Dress is adorable but has a very limited size window and will need something to keep it up. Sizing runs small , size up, especially if you have hips or broad shoulders.

Very little info about this brand online, so hopefully this helps!

Happy to answer any questions about fit or sizing!
