Am i safe with my sd card?

I am shooting an event and i just saw like 5 reels of people who lost photos because they had the sd card corrupt after the shoot, now i don't think that will happen but since i have an r8 (only one sd slot) i have to make sure i am doing the most to be sure i can deliver, so how can i be sure it won't fail on that day, i have a lexar 1667x uhs-ii 128gb card bought in may, buying another one is not really an option rn, it never gave me any problem, i always deep format the card after any shooting, sometimes i leave a couple of pictures for days, and i have never filled it up over half the capacity, everything tells me it won't fail but i would love some reassurance

Or not? Has somebody ever had a card corrupt within similar conditions?
