Recent holidays in Iceland - roandtripping and exploring surroundings on Reykjavik🇮🇸

| This was a walk through the outskirts of Reykjavík. not a national park, not some famous destination - just the edge of the city where the lupine fields start and the sunset decides to do that. I think what got me was how ordinary it felt for the people who live there. like this is just their backyard. they probably don't even notice it anymore. and i'm standing there completely stopped, trying to understand how a place can feel this alive and this still at the same time. the clouds, the orange light, the purple everywhere - it wasn't even a planned moment, we just wandered in that direction. On the road, the nature is unbelievable as well but the pictures won't show it so im sharing what grabbed my attention. Definitely coming back in winter First 2 pictures - suburbs of Reykjavik [link] [comments] |
