Do lip masks actually help with dry lips?

I've only ever used regular lip balm, so I've never really looked into lip masks before.

Lately I've been seeing them everywhere and I'm wondering if they actually make a difference or if it's mostly the same thing.

My lips get dry pretty often, especially if I forget to use lip balm for a few hours.

Has anyone here tried a lip mask and noticed a difference?
