Guitar Neck poking out

Hi everyone,

I am travelling back home, i want to bring my electric guitar as, i will be staying there for 4 months. Currently my Stratocaster neck is long for both carry on bag and laptop bag. I am travelling Via Qatar Airways and have 2 legs.

Now, I am thinking to put the neck in my laptop bag pack and put it under leg space but I fear, what if they don't allow me. It's poking out 5-6 inches.

Will this cause an issue? Or if someone faced something similar?
