My nani gave me the biggest compliment at a wedding thanks to HOI.

Went to a family wedding last weekend wearing this simple lehenga because I knew there was no way I could handle those super heavy type outfits for 8 hours straight.

Everything was normal until my nani randomly asked my mom “isne itna acha ready hona kab shuru kiya?”

For context, this woman has seen me attend functions in oversized kurtas and messy buns for YEARS.

The funniest part is I acted completely normal outside but internally I was celebrating because getting compliments from Indian grandmothers is basically the highest form of approval possible.

I actually changed my outfit last minute because my brother had gifted me this lehenga earlier and I hadn’t even bought anything new for this wedding. Just thought let’s give this a try instead and honestly I ended up really liking it.
